I’m a qualified photographer and use professional equipment, so you can be assured the photos will be of a high standard. I’ll review the photos with you before I leave, to make sure you have plenty of favourites. I’ll then send you a selection of the best images, either by email, on CD ROM or in print form, whichever you prefer.
I always take my photos in natural light as flash photos are not suitable for my style of work. This means that my visit will be dependent on weather conditions.
Local travel is included, but I do have to make an additional charge for travelling further, please ask for a quote when booking. If I can share a journey between clients, I’ll divide the cost between everyone.
The photography service is an essential element of pastel portraits, and is recommended for character studies, so it’s a free service for both types. It’s available as an optional extra for sketch portraits at a cost of £75 plus travel.
If you’d like to supply your own photo, please bear in mind that it should be well lit (not flash), with lots of sharp detail and no distortion. Please send me the photo prior to ordering so I can advise you on suitability. Please read my Photo Tips for advice on taking photos for portraits. I regret that I do not accept commissions to paint pastel portraits from clients’ own photos.
I recommend that precious photos should be sent by registered post.
