Portraits in pastel have become my speciality and are the most popular choice. Pastels are dry sticks of pigment blended with chalk and china clay.  I use fine pastel pencils on smooth tinted board or sanded paper to achieve realistic, delicate detail.  The result is soft, rich colour with a velvety finish. CHARACTER STUDY Prices include photography, framing and UK delivery

Character studies are available in pastel or watercolour. This type of portrait combines a colour centrepiece with a layout of small sketches which celebrate the life of a special animal, or simply illustrate their little quirks. You can also choose to show a group of different individuals on the portrait. The price includes photography, but character studies are an ideal way to include your own photos if you wish. You can have as many surrounding sketches as you like, and a name or inscription added to the portrait.

Sketch portraits are drawn with graphite pencils onto white or toned paper. They show the essence and character of the subject without fine details, and are ideal for commissioning from your own photographs.
