Payment Terms - Commission orders will only be accepted if accompanied by a 50% non-returnable deposit. The balance is due upon delivery of the completed portrait. Prints, gift vouchers, greetings cards and non-commissioned artwork must be paid for in full at the time of ordering.
Fees - Fees are as per current published price list. For non-standard commissions, Mary Herbert will supply the client with a quote which will be adhered to for that particular commission provided the client completes their instructions within within 6 months of the quote.
Time Scale - An anticipated date of completion will be given at the time of ordering. Whilst every effort will be made to meet this, it should not be regarded as an absolute guarantee. Items from the Gifts catalogue will be dispatched within 28 days of receipt of payment (much sooner in most cases).
Delivery - Delivery will be made in person by Mary Herbert wherever possible, otherwise by insured carrier for original artwork and standard post for printed material. Delivery date for original artwork will be agreed by both parties in advance.
Adjustments - Customer satisfaction is very important and reasonable adjustments to finished artwork will be carried out free of charge. Where unforseen adjustments are requested, or any that deviate from the agreed commission, there will be a time-based additional charge.
Copyright - Reproduction and publishing rights for all artwork remain with Mary Herbert and images must not be copied, reproduced or published in any form without her express written permission. The same applies for all photographs taken by Mary Herbert The client agrees that commissioned images and photographs may be used by Mary Herbert for promotional purposes, prints for sale, or any other purpose.
Third party source material - The onus is upon the client to obtain permission from the copyright holder of third party source material (e.g. course photographer) and provide proof of this at the time of ordering.
Privacy Policy - Details supplied by clients will not be passed to any third party.
Gift Vouchers - Vouchers expire 12 months from validation date (date of issue) and are not redeemable for cash, but may be used for a portrait of higher value on payment of the difference.
